How to prepare For NEET UG 2019 if you are a dropper.

National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) is governed by CBSE Board. It is one of the toughest competitive exams for students who seek admission into different medical courses such as MBBS and BDS. In fact, NEET is the only medical entrance examination organised for admission in different medical courses and a large number of students appear for this exam. Proper preparation is very important in order to crack the exam. Even students who have dropped out from NEET can re-appear for this examination and score good grades.

Listed below are some tips that can help students to prepare for NEET Easily:

1. Prepare for NEET as per the syllabus and Guidelines :

Before you prepare for NEET, you should gather complete information related to the syllabus. You can then compare the exam syllabus with the board syllabus and plan your study time accordingly. This would give you some extra hours to concentrate on your syllabus which is not covered in the board syllabus. However, do not waste your time on topics that are not included in the syllabus.

2. Prepare a proper study Schedule :

Students should have a good study schedule that is to be followed for the NEET Preparation. Plan your schedule in such a way that there are no long hours of study. Include frequent intervals between study hours so that your mind is not blocked. Once you follow a schedule, it would make it easier to maintain your time and cover the entire syllabus.

3. Prioritize and Work a bit extra on your weaker areas :

As a candidate preparing for NEET, you should focus more on weak topics. Do not avoid the weaker areas as it might weaken your preparation. Try to prioritize the topics according to the importance and the level of your merit. The sooner you start preparing the better it is, as it would give you ample time to revise the weaker topics and prepare.

4. Books : There is no dearth of books and study material available for the NEET but getting hold of all of them isn’t the right choice. NCERT books are some of the best books that offer a basic understanding about Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. It will help you in deriving a foundation to the studies. If you are somebody who is weak in Physics, then HC Verma books are a must for you.

5.Take short breaks : Just because you have dropped-out a year that doesn’t mean you will forget everything else. It is essential to not get involved in distractions. But at the same time taking short breaks and intervals helps in retaining what you have studied. Short and useful breaks make a lot of difference that one can think.

6. Past year question papers

The past year question papers of the AIPMT are available in abundance online and you can easily cater to them. Remember the name of the examination has just changed and, the procedure is pretty similar to that of the AIPMT. Solving the previous year question papers means you gather an idea about what needs to be taken care of. These question paper are the best way to help in strategizing your studies.

7. Evaluate your work :

Your preparation is incomplete without proper evaluation. Always make it a point to evaluate your performance based on your preparation. Make sure to do it regularly. Take mock tests, solve old question papers, take tests with your friends, and follow tips of your seniors. In this way, it would be easier to cover almost all topics.

8. Stay Healthy :

When you are preparing for NEET, make sure you take good care of your health. Your study schedule would involve long hours and late nights, which can affect your health. Also, always aim to eat well, take frequent breaks, avoid junk food, exercise or walk, meditate for improved concentration.
coaching is useless if a student doesn’t decide to study on their own. Self-help is the best help. If you are taught something and you don’t study the same with the same amount of sincerity back home, then there is no point of investing the time and money for such coaching services. Your sincerity is the key to your success with the help and guidance of the offline and online helps.
Wishing all the aspirants of the NEET examination all the best and May you achieve your dream with flying colors. Good Luck!

How to Attempt NEET UG Question Paper in 2019.

Time Managment

In NEET you have 180 questions and 180 minutes to solve them. So you have 1 minute to solve each Question. Out of 180 atleast 140 questions should be theory based or simple Numericals that won’t take more than half a minute. So, considering that you still can spend close to 3 minutes for the challenging problems.
So, in a nutshell, 3 minutes for challenging problems, 2 minutes for normal tough problems, 1 minute for easier ones and negligible time for theory based questions.

Subject wise Time Management

Your easiest and most scoring subjects are going to be Chemistry and Biology. Physics requires a lot of rough work while Biology has the highest number of theory questions in the paper.
So, you should be able to complete Chemistry within 50 minutes. Out of remaining 130 minutes you should be able to solve Physics in 90 minutes and Biology in 40 minutes each. If you can minimize the timing on Biology, it could act as a bonus for physics and Chemistrt. So again : 50 minutes for Chemistry | 90 minutes for Physics | 40 minutes for Biology.
Note :This might look dofficult, but you need to accept the difficulty level and start working on it.

Order of Attempt

Our preferred order of Attempt is : Biology | Physics | Chemistry
The order of Attempt isn’t really of much importance and there is no single best order if attempt. However, it is important that you follow an order that you are comfortable with.
Pick up question papers , try different orders of Attempt and see what works the best for you and follow that. Another good reason for solving papers, isn’t it ?

Avoid Negative Marking

Every negative mark avoided is also a mark gained !
So, you need to have clarity on what you know and what you don’t. You should clearly know your strengths and weaknesses as you go into your NEET examination.
Keep practicing and studying regularly. Success is waiting for you guys.

How to Tackle Physics Numericals for NEET 2019

Physics is a subject that requires an in depth understanding of concepts and their
application both of which requires you to be alert and focused. One thing that is most important while studying is maintaining your focus. Here’s our advice to you:

Do not get Scared :

It all begins by taking control of yourself or more importantly taking control of your attention. So begin by Scheduling and Prioritizing your Work tasks. You should not be scared of attempting problems in Physics.
Create a month long schedule for physics. Allocate 1-2 hours daily for practicing problems in physics.

Understand Formulae Better :

One of the main things about physics is formulae. Many students think of formulae as just recipes to solve problems. But they are more than that.
To truly understand physics formulas must make sense in the real world. Let’s take a simple example
F = ma (one of the greatest equations)

Practice More :

It is okay to be scared at practice, but if you procrastinate, you will remain scared of physics even in our exams. So, you should practice and learn as much as you can before you finally appear in your exams.

It is not just about a Textbook :

Students always think that questions are always asked from a specific book only. This estricts their learning capacity greatly.
In competitive exams like the JEE and NEET, the syllabus would be based on NCERT, but the questions won’t be asked directly from it. You need to study the concepts from NCERT, but questions will ask you to use these concepts.
So, use textbooks to build your fundamentals in physics and Use “Practice” to build your confidence in Problem Solving !

How to Crack NEET without Coaching NEET And AIIMS UG 2019

What it takes to Crack NEET UG ?

There are a number of factors that account for cracking NEET with a good score.
  1. Being Clear and Thorough with basic concepts as per NCERT syllabus
  2. Being Able to solve NEET-level Questions
  3. Being Able to solve Questions within a Time Limit
Achieving all of this is very much possible without coaching. Here’s what you need to do in order to achieve the above 3 points without coaching.

 Discipline :

You need discipline to stay on track towards your goal. The students that take coaching also need discipline. However, in their case, they are forced to attend their classes even though they lack interest. Thus, they always end up studying for 2-3 hours ever day.
As a student who does not take coaching, you need to be self motivated, and should set a timetable, just like coaching classes have. In these 2-3 hours, you should force yourself to study, so that you can keep up and compete with coaching students.

 Study Material :

Let’s keep it very simple.
  1. NCERT Textbooks for basic understanding of Concepts.
  2. 1 Good MCQ Book for Practice.
You can choose a good MCQ book for practice here : Most Recommended Books for NEET 2019

 Mock Tests :

If you are serious about NEET, then you need to be solving at least 30-40 Mock Papers during your preparation. This practice is also important to catch up with coaching students.
Guidance:
Without coaching, you may not have easy access to guidance from mentors. Thus, in this situation, you can rely on online resources

Make Best Use of Resources:

Always remember, that not all who take coaching crack NEET, nor do all who don’t take coaching fail at NEET. The ones that crack NEET are those who use their resources in the best possible manner -whether coaching or not.
The resources that you have in your hand are books, teachers, internet, and most importantly “TIME”. So, make the best use of these resources.
If you use your resources properly, then it doesn’t really matter if you take coaching or not.

How to manage time in NEET UG 2019.

The NEET is a 3 hour long battle of concepts, formulae and techniques. You need to have a clear time management strategy to make the most of these 3 hours. In this blog, we first discuss the overall strategy and then subject-wise plans for the big day !

Overview :

3 Hours and 3 Subjects ! – It points out that you should allocate 1 hour to each subject. Now Chemistry and Biology are always going to be the shortest of all 3 subjects to solve. This is because there will be many theory-based questions in Chemistry and Biology. Thus you should allocate only 30-40 minutes for Chemistry and 40-50 Minutes for Biology. Whatever time you save in Chemistry and Biology will act as a bonus for Physics.

Physics :

Physics has always been the toughest according to students all these years. So, you will have to allocate 1 Hour 20 minutes for Physics section. While studying at home, practice Physics section within 1 hour. Doing this will give you an edge in the main exam.

Chemistry :

Chemistry will have many theory based questions and a few numericals. Thus, you should complete Chemistry in 40 minutes or if possible 30 minutes. In order to be able to solve theory questions, – time is not a problem, the theory is. Thus you should be thoroughly prepared with the theory of chemistry. Be thorough with NCERT Chemistry.

Biology :

Biology will have many theory based questions. Thus, you should complete Biology in 50 minutes or if possible 40 minutes. In order to be able to solve theory questions, – again time is not a problem, the theory is. Thus you should be thoroughly prepared with the theory of chemistry. Be thorough with NCERT Biology.

 Keep practicing and hard working.

How to crack 600+ in NEET UG 2019.

Cracking 600 + is not easy – it requires practice, time and many more factors. But still , it is important to remember that anybody can crack NEET if given enough time and practice.
Here, we look at the various factors that will help you to crack NEET with flying colours …

Understanding the Number – 600

First of all you need to do an analysis of the score – 600 . Fortunately we have done that for you !
Scoring 600 in NEET means getting 150 MCQs correct out of 180 – without negative marking.
So, you need to plan accordingly. Make sure that your practice in the end stages fetches you close to 150 MCQs correct. To be on a safer side you may attempt 165 and get 5-10 MCQs wrong. You should also decide how much to attempt and score subject-wise based on your strengths and weaknesses.
Getting a MCQ correct in Biology is much easier than in Physics and Chemistry provided that you are thorough with NCERT and atleast one good Biology Book. So Biology could be your soft-target. For getting MCQs correct in Physics and Chemistry you need meticulous practice.
So, basically your ability should be such that you are able to get atleast 150 MCQs correct in NEET.

The Perfect Study Mantra :

“It is better to study with full concentration for half an hour than studying aimlessly for 5 hours”.Remember this funda always !

Managing Time :

Managing time is going to be very vital for you and thus you should always remember these rules :
  1. I can’t waste time.
  2. Each wasted day brings me down by a mark (2 years – ~720 days – 720 marks).
  3. I can’t spend the entire day planning my schedule. My schedule for the day should be ready within a minute.
  4. I have to spend a lot more time on execution than planning and dreaming about a medical seat – repeat rule (3,4) .
  5. I am disciplined enough to follow a fixed timetable.

The Perfect Combination of Books :

You should not stress out yourself with multiple books. Instead, you should follow a very simple combination of books that we recommend. The Best Combination of Books is N.C.E.R.T. + 1 Advanced Book.

Solve Mock Papers :

By solving the mock papers, you get a precise idea of the paper pattern and types of questions asked. After solving your first mock paper, you can search specifically prepare for the type of questions asked in these mock tests. So, Mock tests helps you to understand the exam better and hence helps you to prepare better.

Minimize Negative Marks :

Minimizing Negative marks is as good as earning marks. Negative marks can get you down from a big total and thus you need good amount of practice so  that you choose the right questions on the exam day and solve them and arrive to a correct answer.

Staying Away from Distractions :

One major hurdle in disciplining yourself is “Distractions”. And the major distractions are your social media. You need to really ask yourself at this point that is all of this social media really any big, important thing ?

Mindset :

Your mindset is going to shape your preparation. The way you think about the exam influences your preparation.
Here’s what your mindset should be :
  1. I love all the subjects and topics of Physics, Chemistry, Biology.
  2. The syllabus isn’t too large considering 2 years of preparation time.
  3. The level of questions is difficult to crack ONLY in the beginning. After intensive practice, it will be easy, too.                              Keep practicing and smiling. Success will yours.
